DWELL ON TRUTH

Radio and Video broadcasts - Once per month for the last 4 years, God opened a door to proclaim truth on live radio as a guest on the Flight 1080 show with Dave Michaels on AM1080 KSCO radio, a secular news station in Santa Cruz. Listeners call in with questions and hear us answer with gentleness & respect as we proclaim & defend the Christian faith. in 2022, we also had our own Dwell On Truth show air on KSCO Sunday mornings. Brenten serves local churches that partner with OAC in spreading the gospel.. We are uniting with like-minded believers who want to reach people of all ages with the good news of Jesus. If you'd like to team up with us, let's talk!

TUESDAY Night Men's Discipleship - Brenten leads Men's groups at Calvary Monterey to facilitate community and "following Jesus together".  Growth groups are 6-month commitments for discipleship and spiritual growth through more intense Bible study, prayer and accountability. Brenten's progress report: As of 2022, I've reached out at least twice to 7 of the 101 cities in 2 of the 9 counties. Thank you to friends who donated so I could reach:

2. Gilroy (1 recon, 2 outreaches downtown)

3. Morgan Hill (1 recon, 1 outreach downtown)

4. Palo Alto (2 outreaches downtown)

5. San Francisco (1 recon, 1 outreach at Pier 39, 1 outreach at Pier 41)

6. San Jose (2 outreaches at Evergreen Farmers' Market and 1 at City Hall)

7. Cupertino (1 recon, outreach 6/25/2021)

We'd like to reach all 101 cities in all 9 counties that touch the San Francisco Bay.

How shall they hear unless preachers are sent with the gospel. So first we need to reach 100% funding and then pur strategy would be to find the best locations where we can effectively use the sketch board, my art portfolio, or Dan's flip chart, or just tracts to start conversations with people and if we gather a crowd, we'll preach in the open air. 2. Contra Costa County: 1.2 million people in Antioch, Brentwood, Clayton, Concord, Danville, El Cerrito, Hercules, Lafayette, Martinez, Moraga, Oakley, Orinda, Pinole, Pittsburg, Pleasant Hill, Richmond, San Pablo, San Ramon, and Walnut Creek.

3. Marin County: 258,826 people in Belvedere, Corte Madera, Fairfax, Larkspur, Mill Valley, Novato, Ross, San Anselmo, San Rafael, Sausalito, Tiburon.

4. Napa County: 137,744 people in American Canyon, Calistoga, Napa, St. Helena, Yountville

5. San Francisco County: 805,235 people in San Francisco city

6. San Mateo County: 767,423 people in Atherton, Belmont, Brisbane, Burlingame, Colma, Daly City, East Palo Alto, Foster City, Half Moon Bay, Hillsborough, Menlo Park, Millbrae, Pacifica, Portola Valley, Redwood City, San Bruno, San Carlos, San Mateo, South San Francisco, and Woodside.

7. Santa Clara County: 1.928 million people in Campbell, Cupertino, Gilroy, Los Altos, Los Altos Hills, Los Gatos, Milpitas, Monte Sereno, Morgan Hill, Mountain View, Palo Alto, San Jose, Santa Clara, Saratoga and Sunnyvale.

8. Solano County: 447,643 people in Benicia, Dixon, Fairfield, Rio Vista, Suisan City, Vacaville & Vallejo.

9. Sonoma County: 494,336 people in Cloverdale, Cotati, Healdsburg, Petaluma, Rohnert Park, Santa Rosa, Sebastopol, Sonoma, and Windsor.​

Discipleship is an important part of DWELL On Truth, and Brenten is actively leading 2 men's discipleship groups. One is an in-person D-Group at Calvary Monterey on Tuesday nights, and the other is an international online Bible study usually Saturday mornings. Both groups are reading through the New Testament 1-3 chapters per week, and we discuss the chapters read using the inductive method of Bible study to observe, interpret and apply God's word. Lena and Brenten started attending Calvary Monterey in 1997 and have been mentored by pastors and leaders over the years. We volunteered in many ministries (Calvary Kids, college and career, home fellowships, missions fellowship, worship team and Life Groups) and were sent out as long-term missionaries to 4 different countries: Ukraine, Latvia, Hungary and now the USA!

As our church mission states, we want to see "Jesus Famous" so there may be more believers who KNOW, GROW and GO proclaiming Jesus to the world. Currently, the Powers family is seeking to develop partnerships with friends who may be interested in praying, giving, sharing and connecting with Open Air Campaigners USA.

The Bible asks, "Do soldiers go to war at their own expense?... Those who preach the gospel should make their living by the gospel" Christians and churches who want to fulfill the great commission may make a difference by partnering with ministries and missionaries who actually preach the gospel. We resonate with the apostle Paul when he said "I am not ashamed of the Gospel... for is the Power of God for salvation to everyone who believes." You can be part of shining the light of the gospel into the darkness by sending your hard earned money to those who are doing the hard work of preaching the gospel on the front lines, downtown, in beaches, parks and festivals where there are large crowds. The fruit of our outreach abounds to your account and increases thanks and praise to God.

We would love to make disciples, and evangelize full time the Monterey and San Francisco Bay Areas, but we need partners who contribute toward the $7500 per month for our living and ministry expenses.
